Today......FEEDING

Hello Welcome

Breast-feeding is certainly the simplest method and it creates an emotional attachment between both mother and child. Any healthy woman who wants to breast-feed her baby can do so, all she need is the desire and motivation. When a mother first starts to breast-feed, she may be worried that she won't have sufficient milk for the baby. The milk is just beginning to fill up, first a creamy yellowish substance called Colostrum is produced. Colostrum contains more protein and less fat than breast milk. Secretions of colostrum are small but during this time the baby does not need much fluid and colostrum will give adequate nutrition.

If there is no enough milk for the first few days, don't worry.Let the baby suck for 3, 5 or even 10 minutes. Start with 3 minutes the first day, 5 minutes the second and so on work up to 15- 20 minutes. In this way the nipples will be toughened. Be sure to use both breasts. By emptying the breast, milk production is stimulated, thus an adequate milk supply dependent upon using both breasts.

Depending on how often the baby wants to feed, don't watch the clock. Feed the baby every 4 hours on the dot. Never wake your baby up at night. The baby will awaken you. Have a great feeding and enjoy every moment of motherhood.

Newborn Baby

Today lets talk about newborn baby............At birth the baby's skin is wrinkled or scaly, and may be covered by a cheesy substance called Vernix Caseosa. During the first two weeks the skin will become quite dry to the touch. The skin of white newborns is red and sometimes turns yellow during the first few days. Black newborns often are not as dark as they might be later. Their skin becomes just as yellow as that of white babies, but the change is more difficult to observe.

The newborn's head is large in proportion to the rest of its body. The genitals too may seem large, especially in girls. Newborn girls may have swollen genitalia that is a result of Edema (fluid in the tissues, causing puffiness), but the swelling is usually present for only a few days after birth.

The eyes can open and react to light, but are unable to focus. Noises produce a startle response, a complex involuntary reaction marked by a sudden jerky arm and leg movement. The new born cries a great deal, sucks and may sneeze. The babies weight will, of course, vary.

KIDZ WORLD

Hai Everybody I dedicate my blog to all the kids out there.

There's lot of hard work involved in raising an infant into a young child, for running after a toddler, for understanding a moody teenager, for tolerating a college student with all the answers etc.. To survive in this present world the PARENTS have to give them their love and understanding, patience and help, values and most of all to try and live up to be a wonderful example.

Let all the kids grow towards a responsible adulthood and to the fullest potential of their unique selves.
